DO YOU MEET THE OSHA COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS?
OSHA regulation 1910.178 states: if an employee is hired after December 1, 1999 the initial training and evaluation of that employee must be completed BEFORE the employee is assigned to operate a powered industrial truck. Paragragh L of clause 1910.178 clearly states that this is the responsibility of the employer not the employee.
As the employer, if you choose to ignore the new training rules adopted by OSHA there is a minimum fine of $7,000 for each untrained operator. If you have any questions, feel free to CONTACT US at Forklift Mobile or take a look at OSHA Industrial Truck Training.
